Keep your skin glowing

Le Beau can help!

As the winter months set in the weather turns colder, windier and drier. Your skin will need some extra help and protection from the environment. Sometimes the weather change may happen rapidly and you need to be prepared as we are already well into it. We need to also help the damage that has already occurred. You may be experiencing that the skin on different parts of your body such as your hands, face and lips may become dry, chapped and crusty.

It is necessary to have a good winter skin care routine. This is what we are here for – to help you get on the right track and guide you. We will give you advice and educate you on what is best for your particular needs. The best winter skin treatment is the new and improved Guinot Hydradermie Facial. It has just been re-released! It is rejuvenating, deep-cleansing and can be adapted to treat every type of skin condition. Using mild electrotherapy and relaxing massage we can deeply penetrate active ingredients into the skin, while the high frequency oxygenates the skin’s cells and creates an antibacterial effect on the skin. Afterwards, the skin appears and feels plumper, softer and visibly younger and fresher. Whilst winter will naturally dry and dehydrate the skin, the hydradermie will keep the skin looking and feeling hydrated all year round.

In winter every part of your body is likely to dry out. The increasing time and temperature of our showers can be the most drying part of your routine.  During every shower be sure to use either the Guinot Energising Body Wash or the Thalgo Marine Shower Gel. Applying a hydrating body treatment, such as the Thalgo Intense Nutrition Cream or the Guinot Hydrazone Body Cream after every shower can help to combat the dryness of the skin, along with regular exfoliation in the shower. For exfoliation you can use Thalgo Descomask Scrub.

To treat dry and chapped hands Gehwol Salve is the best option. For an intensive treatment slipping gloves on after applying salve will make a big difference in keeping your hands baby soft.

Dry eyes are another ailment of the winter weather. Whilst hydrating eye drops can help, boosting water intake, getting a good night’s sleep and plenty of fresh veg will keep your eyes in the best condition.

Some people report that their acne condition becomes worse during winter time. While damaging to the skin, ultra violet light rays could have actually helped to reduce the formation of acne. So when summer skin is gone, acne may flare up. Good treatment at the first signs will result in quicker results!

Why is it necessary to have a winter routine?

When the temperature changes, a change in your skin routine is necessary. Get to know your skin a little, how it works and the effects of winter conditions on your skin. Everyone is different. Most people need a slight adjustment if they already have a good daily routine. The change will make a difference to your complexion during winter and help to improve the overall health of your skin.
